Amaka is a devoted advocate for preservation of the Igbo language and culture. She spearheaded the first Igbo lessons in her home in Atlanta, GA at the inception of UIU as well as other cultural programs such as “How to make Ofe”, How to tie ichafu”, Iri Ij festival, and Iwa Oji. She is always featured in the Igbo language seminars during UIU’s annual conventions. She is currently a Pharmacy Clinical Services Manager with Walmart where she has worked for the past 8 years. She obtained her Doctor of pharmacy degree from Oregon State University after obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in General Science from the same university. She is from Anambra state by birth and now from Imo state by marriage. She has 2 sons, Nnamdi and Nonso.
