Nigerian Health Care Foundation

UIUCares is excited to join The Nigerian Healthcare Foundation Inc. (NHF) in their annual mission trip to Imo State, Nigeria in July 2017. A group of 9 UIU members have volunteered to join the group of 5 NHF members and we are excited to lend a helping hand.
On our two-week medical mission we estimate receiving visits from nearly 400 patients a day – 95% are individuals from remote areas who would never have otherwise received medical attention because it is either inaccessible or costly. Our goal is to drastically improve not only the health conditions in Nigeria but also the state of social welfare.
Through this program, donated medicines and medical supplies reach impoverished and isolated communities where even basic medical care is inaccessible to the poor or often non-existent. We have the opportunity to touch thousands of lives. Join us and become a face of hope.
The cost for participating in this mission trip is $3,000 per person and our team at UIU Cares would love to help these individuals who are sacrificing their time and talents. The NHF team has set up a website to raise the $45,000 needed for our team of 15 to go on this trip. They are also in need of various medications, hygiene items, food, school supplies etc. that you may donate towards. The group website is listed below and each team member has their own page. We thank you for your generosity and we cannot wait to see the impact we make on these kind people. Please remember that your donations are as always tax deductible!
