UIU Detroit

The Umu Igbo Unite (UIU) Detroit chapter is a part of a non-profit US based organization that consists of a wide range of young professionals and students of Igbo heritage ages 21-40, in the Metro Detroit area.

The UIU Detroit chapter targets people from all parts of the Igbo diaspora. Our mission is to strengthen the Igbo community in Detroit by providing a space for Igbos to fellowship, network, and learn about our culture.

We hope to engage the local Igbo community and recruit members through events such as cooking classes, Igbo lessons, community service, social and networking events, and more! We look forward to having our fellow Igbo people join us in the Detroit Area as we exhibit and share in our cultural pride.
