Our Programs

Feeding the Future

Feeding the Future is an annual charity event hosted by Umu Igbo Unite - Los Angeles in South Eastern Nigeria. One of the main goals of Umu Igbo Unite Corporation is to encourage civic engagement and community service back home in Nigeria. As Nigerians, especially Igbos, we make it our priority to give back to the country that has given so much to us. This is why UIU exists, to foster a community within the diaspora that remembers its roots and thereby invests time, energy, and resources to improve the quality of life back home. It is also an opportunity for our members to experience different Igbo states while giving back.

Skid Row Community Outreach

Umu Igbo Unite Los Angeles conducts a community outreach program where we visit LA's skid row, donating food items and other essentials to those in need. UIU-LA remains committed to our mission and offers hope and support to those who need it most. Their outreach efforts have a significant impact on the community, improving the quality of life for some of its most vulnerable members. Through our generosity and compassion, we inspire others to make a positive difference in the world.

The Ambassador Program

The Ambassador Program will expand these viewpoints; wherever narrow, and help tell a more complete story, a truly beautiful story, an original story. As we identify top performing and under-served Nigerians of Igbo heritage, we will combine the art of storytelling with providing financial relief towards school. We will also provide mentorship through intentional personality and career-based matching. Telling the original story has the power to recreate narratives, change lives and impact multitudes.
