Emeka is an experienced Energy Consultant and information systems Expert. He spent several years working for a financial services firm in various roles focusing on client retention and business development. After a successful career, he moved to Nigeria to work as an aide to the former Minister of Power, Prof. Chinedu Nebo. Currently, he serves as a partner at Nextier Power Limited in Abuja, Nigeria. Nextier Power is an advisory and consulting firm focused on the Nigerian electricity supply industry. He has a BA in Economics from the University of Georgia and a Masters in IT from Kenesaw University.

Ijeoma is energetic, positive and passionate, about the Igbo culture and Umu Igbo Unite. She is a co-author of the Ije the world traveler books and e-cartoons. She has a Masters degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Florida, a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from Clemson University, and a certified Project Management Professional (PMP). She is currently an eCommerce Sales Leader at GE Power with strong interests in eCommerce and Digital Technology Solutions (Digital Operations). Ijeoma is from Anambra state, married with a son, Naetonna.

Amaka is a devoted advocate for preservation of the Igbo language and culture. She spearheaded the first Igbo lessons in her home in Atlanta, GA at the inception of UIU as well as other cultural programs such as “How to make Ofe”, How to tie ichafu”, Iri Ij festival, and Iwa Oji. She is always featured in the Igbo language seminars during UIU’s annual conventions. She is currently a Pharmacy Clinical Services Manager with Walmart where she has worked for the past 8 years. She obtained her Doctor of pharmacy degree from Oregon State University after obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in General Science from the same university. She is from Anambra state by birth and now from Imo state by marriage. She has 2 sons, Nnamdi and Nonso.

Ijeoma is a proud supporter and promoter of all things Igbo and strives to keep the Igbo culture and language alive. She is a co-author of the Ije the world traveler books and e-cartoons. She has worked in the financial services industry for over 10 years. She is an Industrial Engineer from Georgia Tech and also has an MBA degree from Wake Forest University. She hails from Anambra state. She is married to Ifeanyi and they are blessed with 3 children – Somto (9), Obinna (7) and Kene (5).
Public Relations and Marketing
Uche is always protecting the UIU Brand. She has a passion for teaching and global health. She is an Associate Professor at Texas Southern University at the College of Pharmacy. She has a PharmD from the University of South Carolina. She hails from Anambra State, married with 3 sons. Kenenna, Tobenna and CJ.
UIU Cares Director
Onyinye is continually inspired by all she sees her Igbo colleagues do all over the world. She has heart for the less fortunate here and in Nigeria and is interested in all aspects of service. She is a family physician who has a great desire to improve healthcare in Nigeria. She knows the talent that is available back home and is passionate about developing a healthcare infrastructure that will provide healthcare access to the masses and provide jobs for our physicians in Nigeria. She is from Anambra state, grew up in Enugu and moved to the US at the age of 12. She holds a Biochemistry degree from Georgia Institute of Technology, obtained her Medical Degree from the Medical College of Georgia and was trained at the Mayo Clinic. She is an Urgent Care Physician in New York. She is married and has 3 children.
Chinedu is passionate about the advancement of the Igbo language and culture. An indigene of Anambra state, Chinedu is in charge of UIU chapter development. He holds an Economics degree from Duke University, his MD from Emory University and is currently practicing as an Anesthesiologist in Atlanta.

Njdieka has been managing the UIU Vendors the past couple of years and has a passion to help others. She is now part of the UIUCares team as the Program Manager. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from the University of South Carolina and in Nutrition from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. She is currently a nursing student at Prairie View A&M University, graduating in December. She is from Anambra State.
Chimaobi is an open-minded individual passionate about promoting the Igbo culture and learning about other cultures. Having lived in Nigeria and the United States, he understands the significance of globalization. He holds a BS in Economics from the University of Akron and Masters in Health Informatics; Northern Kentucky University. He currently works as a Business and Systems Integration Consultant in Washington DC.

Adaora is an electric utility professional who is passionate about connecting people. Though she grew up in Los Angeles, California, her family hails from Enugu state. Adaora holds a BSE in Operations Research & Financial Engineering from Princeton University and a Ph.D. in Industrial & Systems Engineering from Georgia Tech.
Ejikeme is an experienced licensed attorney who strives to passionately use his skills and talents to help keep the Igbo culture alive, while also serving those who are less fortunate. Hailing from Imo State, Ejikeme was born and raised in Houston, TX, where he was the former Chapter President for 8 years. Ejikeme holds a Bachelor of Arts in Government from Georgetown University and a Juris Doctorate from South Texas College of Law in Houston, TX. Ejikeme is married to Vivian, and a new father to their baby girl.
Growth Strategy & Technology
Nkem is a Product Manager with a passion for technology and solving customer needs. Whatever is asked, he can do it. Prior to business school, he worked for John Deere as a Product Owner/Manager after serving as an embedded software engineer. Nkem graduated with a B.S in Computer Engineering and an MBA from the University of Michigan. He is currently a Product Manager for BetterCloud, the world’s first multi-SaaS management platform. Nkem is from Anambra State.
Chuma Ekwueme is the President of Sure Mechanical. He has over 15 years of industry experience that spans across different types of Mechanical Installations and Engineering from Healthcare, Educational facilities, Office Spaces, Sports Facilities & government buildings. Chuma has a strong emphasis on commercial Mechanical Services, Project Management, Lean Enthusiast, Value engineering, Cost-benefit analysis. Chuma has a B.S in Mechanical Engineering from ESUT and a Masters in Engineering from the University of Cincinnati. He is from Enugu state.
